There is a wealth of information (perhaps speculation is a better word) on the relationship of Martha "Widow" Ford and William Ford. Some say he is her son, some his wife, and some even say that he is unrelated.

Does anyone know any information about John Ford? A quick search on Google Books turns up some info. Most seem to agree that he is the son of Martha Ford. I've found some sources claiming that he was born soon after the Fortune arrived at Plymouth while other sources claim that it was his sister Martha.

I believe that my Ford family originated with this John Ford, but I cannot find much information about him or his family. My family came to Virginia from Maryland. There is no record of John Ford after 1640. Perhaps he moved to Maryland?
