I mentioned in my previous post that my William was born around 1890, I meant 1790. I found in a family death record for a child of William that the mother was Jane. Also Jane in the 1850 Churchville census is the wife of James Ford (son of William) she was origionally Jane Mclaughlin. James' mother and wife both had the name Jane. Williams wife is not mentioned in any census on or after 1850 this is why I believe this Jane to be Williams wife. In later census James states his family first arrived in the US in 1835, and a record for (I believe Williams son) Henry states that he was born in Madison Co. Ny in 1838. Also your Thomas died in Riga NY, as did my Thomas. My Thomas is listed in the 1850 Riga, NY census with his wife, and later in the 1875 state census with wife and daughter. There are so many similarities that I believe our Ford families are related somehow.
