The Hezekiah that married Mary H Hampton was born 1822. They ere married in Clark Co Mo 19 Oct 1848. They wewe living in Fairburn, South Dakota when they died, he in 1912 and Mary 1916. They are my ggrand parents.

Hezekiah born in 1843 was not married to Mary h Hampyon.
Hezekiah Foree born 1822 was married to Mary h hampton. They were married 19 October 1848 Clark Co Mo an were married until they died. Hezekiah d 1912 and Mary d 1916, they both died in South Dakota. They are my ggrandparents.

I error in my first reply. See http://www.mogenclark.com/marriage/p46.htm#i575 for a copy of the marriage record. I found that they were two Hezekiah Foree living in Clark Co. in that time period.

I am sorry, but have no information on the two people you listed. I have my line back to Silas, and he had a number of siblings I haven't researched. His son, John Henry also had numerous children, all of whom had multiple children. It gets to be quite a large group and I gave up trying to keep track of any except my direct line.

I don't know where you live, but if you can get to the research library in Frankfort,Ky there is, literally, a ton of infomation on the Forees. They might be able to help yo.

Flora V. Jackson was the daughter of Edward Jackson and granddaughter of George B. Jackson. George B. Jackson was a double cousin of General Stonewall Jackson. She was the wife of Eramus Foree. Information is from "History of the Ohio Falls Counties."

Sorry for the delay in answering - I haven't checked Ancestry for a while. Too busy.

I can't believe you live in Hutchinson - I have first cousin who lives there - Mary Means. I was there last September and plan to go back for more research in Dodge. Mary is related on my mother's side of the family.

My father was Frank Hobble, Jr. I have lots of info on the Hobble, Foree and McNeil families. Hobble being my Grandfather's family, and Foree being my gransmother's family. The McNeil family is Frank Hobble, Sr.'s mother's family. You probably already know this. But if there is anything I can help you with, please let me know.

I will certainly let you know when I plan to be in Kansas again. What fun to find another "unknown' relative.

Thank you so much! For both the info on the marriage and the name confusion. I have seen Foree listed as Force a couple of times but just never thought to search under that name for Theodore.

I knew Maggie died in MO. I actually found a copy of a letter in the Kentucky Historical Society Library in Frankfort written by Theodore to his parents the day she died. Probably from pneumonia.

I hope now I can find a copy of the marriage bond. I actually am looking for Madgelena'a father so hope that will provide some info on him

Thanks again - if I can provide any info for you, please let me know. Where in Kansas? I was born in Dodge City and went back last Fall for some research.

Margaret, Theodore Foree and Maggie Jones married 23 May 1867 Trimble CO., KY. This from IGI at familysearch.org. It is under last name Force. My line is Silas Forre's brother, Jesse Foree. I have found Foree spelled that way a number of times. Magdalene Forre is buried Old Plattsburg Cemetery, Plattsburg, Clinton CO., MO, birth 23 May 1845 died 13 Dec 1870 w/o Theodore Foree age 25 years, 6 mo., 21 days born Shelby CO., Ky. Clinton CO., MO has on CD a biography of its people, Foree is listed. I hope this helps, Irene from Kansas

Silas Fore line is not a direct line for my family. We are Pierre Foree. So what I have is just the children of Silas. nothing beyond that. There is a man here in Eminence Ky that was researching some of the same ancestors on the Silas Foree line. I am not sure if he has any information Mike Bayne 502-845-4874. He had relatives in Trimble Co Ky., and was researching through the Silas Foree and I think Beasley lines. line.Have you tried researching through the Hugunot Society for the name Foree, Faure, or Ford?

Thanks for the reply. The branch of the Foree Family you list is not the same as the one I am researching. I am sorry I don't have anything on them. I do have info on prior generations beginning with Silas Foree, born in Virginia in the mid 1700's. If that helps, let me know and I will send you what I have.

I show a Robert E born Caldwell co mo born around 1840. Child of Silas and Sara Beasley.

I show a Hezekiah Faure Born Dec 25 1783 died Aug 9 1877 in Mo. Was married o Francis Ford.I am not sure same Hezekiah.His parents were Hezekiah Foree (mother was Marie Gaudwin) and his wife was Elizabeth ?.

Hello!

My great-grandfather was Robert Louis Foree (b. about 1855 in Missouri), son of Thomas Jefferson Foree (b. about 1814 in Kentucky) son of Hezekiah Foree (b. about 1788 in Kentucky). I found some U.S. Land Office records that show Hezekiah Foree (of Oldham County, Kentucky) purchasing land in Clark County, Missouri around 1837. I would love to learn more about the Foree family if you have any info.

What I have is that the son of John H Foree and Violette was Silas born Nov 15 1827. he married Elizabeth Kyle. They had a son Kenneth Foree born July 30th 1859 Henry Co Ky. Kenneth was a Judge in Dallas Texas, and served in the confedrrate Army. In 1859 He married Edna Fisher. Their children were Kenneth Jr., Robert, Elizabeth, and Margaret.My ancestor was Pierre so I don't have lots on Silas. I do know my step grandfather Elmer Lamar Foree descended from the Silas Foree line.His mother was a Clagett.

My cousin is Melissa Owens in Richmond Va.. I think her email is doremel1@comcast.net. She is on Facebook.Sorry I am not more help.

Just saw your note about the Foree family history. I am a direct decendant of Silas Foree. I have alot of the history but have a few blanks - Silas' grandson Theodore Foree (parents John Henry and Fannie (Violet) Foree) is my great-grandfather. Do you have any info about his marriage? I would like a marriage bond if possible, but can't find anything in Kentucky. I need to know more about his wife and her family, especially her father. Her name was Madegelena Jones and her father was Thomas Jones. He's my brick wall. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There was a Julia Singleton Grey born dec 20 1835. She died of measles in 1860. The Greys and Forees were family Thisis the only Julia I see.

Hezekiah foree born Dec 25 1783 died in Mo Aug 9 1877. Married Francis Ford. Maybe some connection here? I do not have records of their children.

There is a John Faure listed as being in Tenn about this time son of Marie Gaudwin and Pierre Foree no birth or death info given.

Sorry I am not more help. Maybe contact Melissa Owens my cousin in Richmond Va (see previous information for email) She may have more info than I do.

Can you check your book and see if there is mention of a man
named Alexander Foren / Foree ?? He was born abt. 1810-1820 in VA. I also found another of the same name born abt. 1780-1790 VA. I sure would appreciate this favor a bunch! He is my 4 x grt grandfather and my brick wall!! I found him in Gibson Co TN. in 1834 & 1840, and I know the family was also in KY. there was also a John as well that married [ looks like a 2nd/ & younger wife] named Julia A. Grissard and they had a son named John and a daughter named
Julia. Believe she was married previously as well, and she moved to MO. after John died. Wonder if he was John alexander as the dt. of birth would fit the older Alexander I mentioned above?

Hi These names do not look familiar. Believe it or not there are two Foree lines here in Henry Co Ky.I imagine somewhere in time they were connected. There is the Silas Foree line and the Peter Foree line.I will scan copies and email to you. I do not have the latest info connecting Forees (I think) to George Bush, Gerald Ford, Joan Crawford etc. My cousin did all of this lineage, and has more than I do. I would love to have copies from the Foree book.
My line is Mildred Ann Foree/John Beckley, Thomas Jefferson Foree/Permelia Lambert Tuley, Joseph Foree/Ann Giovidan.
I have nothing before Joseph and Ann, I also have no dates for them. I would like to know where their connected to Peter Foree. I do know that the spelling of the name was changed from Fuerer (I think that's the spelling.)

Hi-I have the complete Foree genealogy book. It was complied by my cousin. It gives most information regarding Peter Foree on down to present generations.The Foree graves are in New Castle,Ky. I can copy and scan any pages you might need.My cousin has done extensive research, and may be able to provide more information then I can.Our family was Foree/Owens, and can be traced back to the same place in France, Va, and on to Henry Co Ky.

I have a Joseph Foree born May 31 1744 King William Parish, Goochland Co Va. He died 1835 in Shelby Co. KY. He married Elizabeth Ann Jividen, born 1750 VA and died Jan 30 1823 in Shelby. My information is that Peter II b. about 1680 in France, d. 16 apr 1745 in Va., changed the spelling from Faure to Foree. Peter II was married to Mary agee. His parents were Peter I and Mary Ann.

My Father Joseph Milton Foree (Farber, MO)had a brother Elmer Lee Foree (Mexico, MO). Their father was Joe Foree (Wellsville, MO) who was married to Carrie knipfel. Joe Foree was a son to John Foree (Wellsville). John Foree was a son to Thomas Jefferson Foree who was a son of Hezikiah Foree from Clark county married to Francis Ford.

Do you have any information on John Foree or a picture of this man? If you have any information please let me know and I do have further details if this the corret line of Foree's that you are looking for.

I will make some assumption
1. That Hezikiah Foree b.1781 d. 1877 is from “Clark County, Missouri, and Shelby Co. KY and Louisville KY”
2. That Thomas [Jefferson] Foree b. 1815 d. 1897 is his son.
3. That Audrain County is in Missouri, and not IA, TX, SD, and several other state that have Audrain County.
Thomas Jefferson Foree had two sons that I have found. He had six daughters. His Daughter Ruth A. Foree married a William T. Lott; in 1858, they live in Clark County untile1863 -1865 when they moved to IL most likely because of the civil war. In 1870 census, William and Ruth were in Audrain County Missouri.
Daughter Martha married William S. Blinco in 1858 in Clark County, I have not found him in the 1860 Census, but in the 1870, they are in Audrain County.
Thomas Jefferson Foree and wife Sophia are in Audrain County, and they are listed as Thomas Foray in the census.
John H Foree and Brother Robert are with there parents in the 1870 census.
I have found a Linnie Lee [Coil] Foree married Robert Louis Foree in Audrain Co. on 14 Jan 1877. [I receive this information from a Foree research.]

Do you know who the parents were of William Foree or the parents of Mary Evelyn Foree were?

I am a Foree from Missouri and was raised in Audrain county which is in the same area of the state as Marion county.

I know of a William Foree but not for sure we are talking about the same one.

Bedford is in Trimble County, Just north and east of Oldham County now. Oldham was pending in 1823 and it was taken from Henry, Shelby and Jefferson County. Oldham became a county in 1824, and Trimble became a county in 1837, and it came from Henry, Oldham, Gallatin County. I think Bedford was in Oldham county before Trimble was formed.

Trying to verify the parents of Elizabeth Foree who married Thomas Harlow on 14 May 1832 Henry Co. KY. I have a copy of the original marriage certificate. It looks like her father was Joseph Foree. I believe the mother was a Pollard. They would have come from some where in Virginia and they went to KY before Elizabeth was born because census images say she was born in KY. Any help would be appreciated.
