Yes. My family can trace its roots to Northen France all the way back to the 1st Century. We actually have records of the taxes paid to the Roman Government at the time.

As it would happen, my mother and father are cousins with the Autin and Foret families inter-marrying for years. We know excaly how and why we left France and how we came to America via Holland.

The family originated in Francois, France...and that grandfather carried the name and title Le Marquis du Francois de la Foret.

This grandfather traveled to New Amerstand, then the U.S. is buried in Guyana. I have visited his gravesite.

A similar pattern exist between the Foret and Guidry family, with the exception that the Guidry's left France for Spain. That great-grandfather 5 generations removed was Pierre-Paul Guidry and changed his name to Pablo-Pedro.
