Hello Pamela,
I am descended from Janet and Thomas Donaldson - my gg grandmother Isabella Donaldson was the eldest child of this couple and I have a lot of detail on the family. I am a bit puzzled by the reference to the first marriage as my records indicate Janet Forfar was approx 16 - 18 when she married Thos Donaldson.
I now live in Melbourne however, I was born in WA and moved east some 30 years ago.

As it happens, this Thomas is a rellie of mine.

This Thomas was born 1802.

I am looking for any information on the family of William and Margaret Forfar Gray, who married in 1784 at Mertoun, Berwickshire, Scotland. I am descended from their son, David Erskine Gray, born 1789. He immigrated to US in the early 1830's and settled in IN.

I am seeking any info on the above born 1795 who lived in Liverpool, related in some way to Eliza Rodgers, born 1833. She is shown on the 1871 census as mother in law to William Forfar which would make her mother to Eliza, but her mother is known as Mary.

I am looking for ancestors or siblings of Thomas Forfar, born in Forfar, Angus, Scotland 29 June 1760. He came to Canada and married Elizabeth McKay Thomson (1787-1873) on 11 August 1806. They had nine children.He died in Scarborough, near Toronto 6 April 1825. I would appreciate any links to his Scottish heritage.
