I didn't ever hear from the other person about the family of John Forge and his wife Ann (nee Hart) and would love to make contact. I am becoming more and more convinced that they are 'my' ones.

So many Forges from Barking were smack owners, fish salesmen or sailmakers, including the delightfully named William Haggis Forge. Has anyone found a common ancestor who might link all these names together?

Seems to be about the time for the annual post to this thread!

In my partner's family there is a John Forge, b. 1808 in Barking, Essex, a sailmaker and smack owner. He moved up to Grimsby, Lincolnshire, about 1858.

Don't know anything about his parents or siblings unfortunately.

My GG Grandfather was Cornelius Forge who married Sarah Finch in Hundon Suffolk 1856. Any link to your Forges?

I am looking for any family members who share the last name of Forge, specifically a long lost half brother who was born as Sanche Forge approximately around 1965 in Oregon. His parents names were Bruce and Lyn Forge. His mother remarried and was adopted by his stepfather and no longer goes by Forge. Please email me if you have any information on him.

I've got a Mary Forge who was born in 1857/8 sister to my great-grandfather but no actual link to Canada or the Kilburn name

I am building my family tree and have a photograph of a gentleman believed to be an uncle. He sent the photograph from Forge Village circa 1904 and would have been approximately early 30's. He was born in Oldham, Lancashire UK.

I am also researching the Forge name who came from England. I know there a Forge's in Ontario Canada. The name I have is Mary Forge who married into the Kilburn family.
Any connection? I'd be glad to hear from you.

This may connect, my g'aunt married Percy
Forge at Bethnal Green 1879 they had three children that I know of,Ethel Amy, Cicely and Harold Percy.
Percy was a stationer, latterly in Kingston-on-Thames.
Ethel married a Frank Brown, Cicily was an artist, and Harold was a civil engineer. I have some pics. but little knowledge of the Forge family. I've been waiting for someone to raise this name on a board.
