This particular Fort line derived from Belgium, where Paolo de (la) Foert was born c.1650. His son, Bartholomeus Feurt, married Magdalaine
Peiret and settled in New York City. They had 5 children, one of whom was Francois Feurt who had 13 children, who were born in Princeton, Somerset Co., NJ. From there the family branches lived in VA and IN. I would enjoy hearing from anyone who thinks they might be connected.
