Samuel Foster was born in Whiston, Lancashire in 1838 and married to Anne Richardson in 1858. They lived in Windle and Sutton where Samuel died as a result of a railway accident in 1885 and is buried in StNicholas. His father is named on the marriage cert as William, a labourer but I can't find the birth or baptism. Does anyone know who Samuel's parents are? There are several candidates but I lack proof of connection.
