I went to high school in Overland, MO with a Rhodes Foth. We were in the class of 1980. However I left in '79 and moved to California. Does anyone know who he is or his whereabouts? I do remember he lived with his brother, because both of his parents had died.

Looking for information on Marie and Albert Foth

My GGGmother (Helena Foth) immigrated to the United States (New York) in 1881 (May 28th) on the SS Vandalia along with her mother (Marie b. 17 July 1851 d. 27 Nov 1917), her sister Elsie, older brothers Fred and Albert. Her husband Albert C Foth did not accompany the family according to the ship passenger list. My father believes that the family came from Stettin, Poland (Prussia???). Other than the information I provided, I know little else. If anyone can guide me through this maze, I would be so appreciative of your help. Thanks so much.

Nancy Kraus Howard

David C. Voth, son of Corn. Jak. Voth and Helena Tobias Jantz was born in 1836 where? He married Marie P. Jantz, daughter of Peter H. Jantz and Katherine P. (Unruh). She was born 1838 in Karlswalde. She had at least 9 siblings. Her husband had at least 8. Where did they all go after leaving Russia, or did some stay there? How are these Voth's related to Martin Mart. Voth born 1826, who married Anna Tobias Jantz? .....Peter and Helena Voth are my gggrand parents. Their daughter Elisabeth born 1849, married Abraham Samuel Schultz. They and their families emigrated to America, McPherson County, Kansas and on to Meno, Okla. ....... Are my Voth's related to those above? Were they all Mennonites from the above Ostrog villages? If you know any of the above relatives, or if you have info. that you would like to share on them, would love to hear from you.

Voth/Foth from Volynia, Ukraine

I have a family whose name in America is Fout but I have a photocopy of a hand written document which has the name as Voth or similar. The family is as follows:
Andreas Pedersohn Fout
b. 2 Jan 1840 Antanofka, Ostrog, Volynska, Ukraine
d. 16 Aug 1926 , Johnson Co., Iowa
m. Helena Koehn (d/o Benjamin Koehn)
b. 2 Jun 1842 Antanofka, Ostrog, Volynska, Ukraine
d. 11 Sep 1927 , Johnson Co., Iowa

I know that Andreas (Andrew) had 5 sisters and 4 brothers. 2 sisters were older the rest younger. Helena had 2 sisters and 3 brothers all younger than her.

They came to America in 1874. I am thinking that his father might have been named Peter as Andrew's middle name is Pedersohn/Peterson.

Can anyone out there shed any more light on the Voth family? Were there Voth's from this area of the Ukraine?

FOTHS in Illinois

My grandmother's maiden name was Sophie FOTH (b. Feb. 28, 1862 in Germany, d. Feb. 8, 1959 in Chicago). I believe she emmigrated in 1871 with her parents, and possibly an infant sister.

She had three other siblings, believed to be born in the US:
Louise, born 1876
Herman, born 1880
Helena (Lena), born 1885 (?)

Louise married George GREINER, Helena married Gustave GRAUPNER. Herman is shown on the 1930 Chicago, IL census as being widowed. All three probably lived in the Chicago area. I am looking for descendants of any of Sophie's siblings who might have information I don't have on the FOTH family.
