You bet! The Fouke family study group is stuck (going back) on "Old" Michael Fouke who is calculated to have been born about 1738. He died in his son Michael's home at the age of 104 in Washington Co. MD - however he lived most of his years in Shepherdstown VA (now WV)
We have tracked down most of the Fouke lines after 20 years of trying! However his roots have still evaded us. This is probably because of the uncertain clerical situations in the pioneering areas of VA and PA nd Western MD which surrounded Shepherdstown at that time. Few records remain and those only of the more well known families like Hite, Chapline, Morgan and the like. I have come to want to study the Foulke families who appear to have been in NJ and DE and PA in the 1600s and maintained pretty good records - especially within the Civil and Quaker recording systems!
However,I have seen no records which detail Foulke migrations like some other quaker groups. The was a solid Quaker meeting house in Western Frederick Co. early in the 1700s and many Quaker lines passed through their confines!
