Bessie D. Founds (1st of 2 obits.)

Bessie D. Founds was born October 20, 1922 in Red Bluff. She died Saturday, Oct. 23.

For many years, Bessie cared for the children of Woodland through the Yolo Wayfarer Center, the Woodland Presbyterian Church and the United Methodist Church of Woodland.

She will be remembered for her straight forward approach to life, her strong will and lively sense of humor. She will be missed terribly by those who loved her.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29 at Woodland United Fellowship Church, 240 North West St. Respecting the wishes of Bessie, no gifts or memorials are requested. Evergreen Funeral Services of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bessie D. Founds

Bessie D. Founds died at Sutter Davis Hospital Saturday, Oct. 23 at age 82.

Mrs. Founds was born October 20, 1922 in Red Bluff. She had been a Yolo County resident for more than 25 years. She was a child care provider with the Yolo Wayfarer Center, the Woodland Presbyterian Church and the United Methodist Church of Woodland. She was a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West.

Respecting the wishes of Mrs. Founds, no memorials are requested.

Services: A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. today, Friday, at Woodland United Fellowship Church, 240 N. West St. Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
