I grew up in Hickman Co. Tennessee. A friend of the family stumbled across information on a Stewart Cemetery (sometimes called the Cambbell Cemetery and sometimes called the Fowlkes Cemetery; names that have been taken from former owners of the land in this area. I plan to check it out as soon as time permits. I have no idea what shape the cemetary is in though it was supposed to have been newly fenced in 1988. The information that I have lists some of the tombstones occupying the cemetery:

Fowlkes, Gabriel - 1827 - 1867. (BUT Spence's HISTORY OF HICKMAN COUNTY, 1981 reprint, page 23 states: "Gabriel Fowlkes was born on April 21, 1777, in Virginia. He married Jincy Hyde, who was born on July 11, 1792, in North Carolina. She was a daughter of Hartwell Hyde. Thompson Fowlkes, father of Gabriel, was a revolutionary soldier. Gabriel Fowlkes came to the Fifth District of HICKMAN COUNTY in 1806. He was the father of Henry, Blount, Thompson, Washington, John, Richard, Mark, and James Fowlkes. His daughters were: Mary, Nancy, Elizabeth, Lucy, Sallie and Martha. He was Hickman County's second sheriff, and served eight years, resigning to accept a seat in the State Legislature.."

The FOWLKS-MAYBERRY_RUSSELL, 1889, by H.P. Fowlks, says Gabriel Fowlks died December 18, 1867 and his wife, Haley Jane Hyde, called Jincy, died in 1855 at about age 63.
