Hi Beth - maybe not directly related but my family came from Straide around 1848. James and Ellen Foy and family on 1851 census. My Father Albert Edward Foy, born 1910,in Birmingham. His parents were James Foy b.1869 and Mary McHale b.1869. Mary Foy (1851 census) married John Joyce in Birmingham and went to live in Clitheroe. (He was a chairmaker). Have done lots of research on my Foy family. James Foy 1869-his mother Bridget is on 1851 census (father unknown).
