We have been in contact before. . . . we all tend to forget who we have had contact with, lol , I do the same thing.
My Husband is the Grandson of Thelma and Rob. Rob is still at Scarbourgh, but Thelma has passed.

My mother was Mara(Chorlton) Mayes b: 17 June 1913 at Zillmere daughter of George Chorlton b: 12 August 1866 in Cheshire,; m: 6 April 1901; d: 16 Feb 1953 in Brisbane.
Her sister Thelma married a Rob Corrigan & lived at Scarborough.
She had a brothers Alan & Cecil.
Mums mother was Mary Love Rankine b: 29 Sept 1877 d: 25 Aug 1956 in Brisbane.
Mary Love Rankine's parents were Dugald Rankine b: 6 July 1844 m: 21 June 1871, d: 9 Dec 1925 in Scotland and Isabella McLay b: abt 1850 & d: abt 1880n in New Monkland.
Dugal Rankine parents were Daniel Rankine m: 1834 & Margaret Thom b: 26 April 1812.
I believe I also have ties to Matthew Black from New Monkland Lanakshire which is tied to my Margaret Thom & Daniel Rankine from Aidrie.
Where do you fit in?

Some more info is below from a previous file but I cant recall wher it came from!

Mums father was George Chorlton b: 12 August 1866 in Agden Cheshire & 1st marriage to Beatrice Batty b: abt 1870 m: abt 1891 in Millington Cheshire.

Their children were Amy d as infant, George b July 1913 & Elsie Chorlton .

Georges 2nd marriage was to Mary (Mara) Love Rankine (mums mother) b: 29 September 1877 in Aidrie New Monkland Scptland.

George & Mary Love’s children were Cyril b: 1902 d: 1907, Allan b: 23 April 1907 Bucklow d: May 1987, Mara b: 17 June 1913, Cecil b: 4 September 1915 & Thelma b: 10 April 1917.

GG grandfather was George Chorlton b: abt 1830 at High Leigh Cheshire married to Mary Ann Ross b: abt 1846 in Budworth.

I believe their children were Thomas b: 1864, George (my GF) b:12 August 1866 in Agden Cheshire, Mary b: 1868, Hannah b: 1874, Robert b: 1876, & Florence Annie b: 1880.

who was married to a Matthew Black . . estimated time of around 1781/2
They had three children, that I am aware off, Margaret (my line of interest) Jean and James.

Possible FRAME / FRAM & Variant Surname Connections

Research into the origins of the FRAME surname has revealed it was almost certainly influenced by Osulf fil Frame (or Frane), Lord Belvoir du Plessis, thegn to King Edward the Confessor. The surnames DE FRAMÉ and LE FRESNE (pron. Frane) were found in Calvados, Normandy, less than 70 miles apart. Each was even nearer to Le Plessis-Grimoult, the fortification last held by Osulf’s son, Grimoult du Plessis, in 1047. The proximity is close enough to suggest a shared provenance between these families in Normandy, and for this reason the FRAME DNA PROJECT has been extended to include the surnames:-

DE FRAMÉ, FRAEME, FRAHM, FRAIM, FRAIME, FRAM, FRAME, FRAMINGHAM, FRAMLINGHAM, FRAMPTON, FRAMSDEN, FRAYM, FREAM, FREAME, FROAM, DE FRAINE, DE FREYNE, FRAIN, FRANE, FRANEY, FRAYN, FRAYN, FREAN, FREEN, FREENEY, FRENEY, FRESNE, FREYNE, or any other variants thought to have evolved from these names.

The aim is to use Y-DNA testing to determine which of the variant surnames relate to a common ancestor. DNA testing for genealogy purposes is more economical through a surname DNA project such as this, rather than as an individual. I, too, am descended from Wilhelmine Dorothea Framm. My branch is by her third (I think) husband, Andreas August Schneider.

According to our family lore, Wilhelmine was a character! You, apparently, are descended from her first "husband" (The family rumor is that she was never married to him!) Mr. Stabeno (don't know first name). They had a son named Louis Frederick Stabeno (born Feb 15, 1859, died April 1944) Is this your grandfather or great grandfather?

Her second husband was Christian Kort (b. Mar 10, 1826, d. Oct 28, 1871), and they had 6 children. Her 4th husband was Gottlieb Brachwitz and they had one daughter, Caroline Christian Brachwitz.

My mother says Wilhelmine had two husbands named Schneider and she is searching her records for information on that marriage.

I see that you posted your message in 1999. I hope you are still researching the family and would be willing to share information. I will happy to send you all I have on Wilhelmine.

Thanks so much for the info. That's the most I've ever gotten on Luis Stabeno. You don't know anything else about his father? I'm probalby at a dead end then. Actually, he is my great-great grandfather. No, I haven't done a lot of genealogy research in a while. I'm working in Venezuela right now and I just don't have time. I also left all my important pictures and information in the States. It's not wise to bring that kind of stuff down here, you never know what might happen.

Howard Fram- Fathers name Ninion Fram- Mother Voila West Both died in Florida. Ninion- Fathers name James. Voila Mothers name Amelia. Ninion was born Maryland. Voila was born in Ohio This is about all I have.

I am looking for information on my ggrandmother, Wilhelmina Frahm/Fram/Framm. She was born in Alsos Loraine, Germany about September 29, 1866. She married Christian Peter Schmidt in Detroit, MI. They had 10 children. She died March 4, 1927 in Detroit, MI. Her 4th child, William F. Schmidt is my grandfather.

We think Wilhelmina came to America through Ellis Island when she was about 5 -7 years old. We believe she had two brothers - Peter and Fred and a sister who married a Mr. Siebert. If you have any information, I can be emailed at stadelbauer@email.com
