My Grandfather is from Cloz as well, immigrated at the same time. His name was Luis Franch. Do you have information on the shortening of the name, if any?

I'm not related to the captioned couple, but I saw a wedding sampler on Ebay that shows this couple was married November 29, 1941 in San Francisco. I wanted to alert anyone researching this family - auction ends 9/29/02 at 19:30 hours Pacific time. (Ebay item #716039893)

Just thought a relative might want to know - wish it was from my family!

The Franchs are a side branch of our family tree, the DEFANT/DEFONTs from Taio, Val di Non, Tyrol (now Italy). I have a cousin whose mother, Louisa Franch(k?) married a Cirillo DeFant in Taio around the turn of the century. Do you have her name in your records? She emigrated from Italy after WWI and ended up settling in Hazleton, PA. I would be happy to exchange any information I have about her if she belongs to your family line.

There were two boys named Alfredo Franch whose births were recorded in the birth records of Cloz:
Alfredo Pietro Franch, b. 1909 father Mansuelo Franch
and
Alfredo Luca Franch, b. 1907 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, father Giuseppe (Joe) Franch.

I'm looking for my great grandfather Alfredo Franch, he was move to USA in the beggining of the century and your son (Alfredo Franch) came to Brazil.

My great-grandfather, Floriano Franch, immigrated from Cloz, Trento, Italy about the turn of the century (1900). Our research has uncovered the parish records from this village going back to the late 1500s and early 1600s. If your ancestor came from Cloz, we are happy to "Look Up" any information available.
