HELLO!
Well, my dad is a Dental Technician, which he learned from his father who practised in Italy. Back then it was something like a Dentist. My Grandfather began making his children by country names so the eldest is Germana and then my Dad, Italo and then there was Genevra who died at two. At that point my grandfather stopped naming his kids after countries and they had three more children Tullio, Vanda and Liliana.
Tullio is a Dental Technician in Naples and Liliana moved to Milan (I believe) to open a pizza restaurant as her husband is a cook. Her children are still in Naples. My Zia Vanda lives in Windsor as do we, she has two children. My Zia Germana lives in Toronto and she has 4 children. As for my immediate family I have 3 brothers Vincenzo, Steven (Stefano) and Mauro.

I'll have to ask my father how my grandfather ended up in Naples. There is family in the Venice region as well and a uncle that used to send packages from New York to another uncle in Naples. Then there are all the crazy stories about living in Italy during the war!

Do you happen to know where your Canadian family lives? There are very few of us in Canada, there seems to be a ton of Philipino and Central Ameican Francia's, I would love to know how that happened!

Well thank you for responding, hope I haven't overwhelmed you with all my chatter. Mary

Ciao Maria!

Good to hear from you!

I have 2 younger sisters and a younger ½ brother:
Silvana, Dora, and Giovanni. My father's name is Luigi Francia. My father's family is from the region Abruzzo as I mentioned. He has 3 brothers. One is still in Italy and the other two brothers emigrated to Canada where they live today with their wifes and children.

We ended up here in Denmark because of my father moving here in the 1960s. I will now get hold of all the information I can from my father, cause he know alot about the Francia story.

Also please tell me more about yourself and your family, who knows maybe there is a link somewhere we can trace.

Talk to you soon again.
Many hellos to you and your family
Vincenzo

Hello Vince! How did you end up in Denmark? Funnily, my oldest brother's name is Vincenzo. As far as I know, my Granfather Vincenzo's family came from Puglia. Please tell me more as my family history is sketchy and I can not go back very far. Thank you for responding, you have made my day! I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Mary (Maria) Francia
