I am seeking any information or connections to the Franey Family in Ohio. The first recording I have found of my Great Grandfather John Franey,born 1820 Ireland is in Perry Co,Ohio in the 1860 cencus,with wife Mary Ann (Huff) and children George 6 and Catherine 4,both born in Kentucky. In 1870 and 1880 they were living in Lancaster,Fairfield Co,Ohio.
They moved to St Louis Missouri around 1881.He had a brother James living with him in 1870.Mary Ann died in 1878 in Lancaster.After the move to St Louis George,Catherine and another daughter Anne may have stayed in Ohio.
