I to am looking formy roots. I am 5th generation removed from Germany. My Great grandfather was named Edward Frankenstein. I got his social security number through rootsweb.com and am requesting his SSN aplication form. I am hoping that it may tell me who his parents were in Prusia and what city they came from. It is my belief that the name Frankenstein is still very rare. Out of 6.5 Billion people in this world It looks like only a hand full share our name (600 or so). Good luck on your search.
