WILL of JOHN FRANS-1833
In the name of God Amen
I John Frans of Patrick County and the state of Virginia being in a common state of health and_______my
common mind and judgement,but calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and knowing that it is once
appointed for all men once to die,do make ordain and constitute this my last will and testament in manner and
form following ,revoking all others heretofore made by me.Item 1st It is my wish that all my just debts be paid by
my executors hereafter named .Item 2nd I will and bequeath unto my beloved wife Polly Frans during her natural
life or widowhood all my estate both real and personal,to hold or dispose of at her discretion. She is to dispose of
the same equally with my children.As she has to_____each one to account for what he receives except my
daughter Nancy,and it is my wish thar she receive after the death of my wife the sum of one hundred dollars in
money exclusive of her proportionable part of the estate.I also want my daughter Susannah___to hold what she
has received heretofore and account for it. Item I will and bequeath unto James Shelton one dollar in money to be
paid after the death of my wife. Item It is furthur my desire that after the decease of my wife that all of my estate
not otherwise particularly disposed of be equally dived amongst my children.Lastly I do constitute and appoint my
beloved and trusty friends John GLeee and Reuben Ziglar to execute this my last will and
testament,_____doubting but hope and believe that the above will be fully complied with.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 28th day of May 1833.

The last will and testament of John Frans was presented in Court_____by the oath of the witness thereupon John
G Lee one of the executors herein named appeared in Court and having taken the oath prescribed by law entered
into and acknowleged a bond in the penalty of six thousand dollars,with Hardin W.Reynolds and Jackson Penn
his sureities.whereupon certificate of probate is granted him in all form of law
