These Fraziers are my family and I have posted a few times before without any response. If anyone has info I would love to hear it.

I don't see a direct connection to my two Frazier families but my Fraziers married many of the same families that you mention: Hinshaw, Lowe, Osborn. they were also Quakers in Pa/NC/ and then Tn. My 4th G Grandfather was Aaron Frazier but he was married to Sarah Osborn.

My ancestress, Elizabeth Frazier, married first Samuel Strong, by whom she had 3 sons, Samuel, William, and Benjamin. After Samuel's death, she married Nicholas Ridgely Pumphrey, 11 Oct. 1792. She had 4 more sons with him, Nicholas (died young), Nicholas again, Lot, and Amos. Elizabeth was born 14 Sept 1759, place I do not know, and died 1 Feb 1827, Fayette, IN. I am looking for her parents, sibs, and anything else about her. I have quite a lot on her Pumprhey descendants. My e-mail address is rjfranke@att.net

Hi, On my mothers side, My mother was a Frazier, she is the daughter of Orla Edward Frazier b 1900. His father was Oliver Aaron Frazier, son of Abishai Frazier. They were all Quakers, I too was raised in the Friends Church in Whittier CA. My moms Fraziers are related to the Hinshaws who are also Quakers. I am the GG grand daughter of Abishai Frazier b 1847 Ohio, married Rebecca Ann Ozburn b 1849. I am searching Abishai's grandparents and trying to see if my mothers and fathers Fraziers are related way back. Abishai's father was Aaron Frazier.

On my dads side I have Micajah Frazier b 1753 a Rev War Vet, whose daughter was Sarah Frazier. Sarah married James Lowe in 1801.

Do you have any info on any of these people? Are you a Frazier? My grandfather Orla was a mortician in Detroit and taught anatomy at Mich State. His brother was Gerald Frazier.

I'm afraid I don't have any information about Margaret Frazier in August County, VA but I happen to be looking at the James A Frazier that you mention in your post.

My James Amos Frazier has a granddaughter named Margaret Jane Frazier. She is the daughter of Joel P Frazier and she was born in Henry County Kentucky. She was born in 1856 in Henry county, m. Elijah Napolean Vest and died in Shelby County Kentucky in 1934.

I wonder if there could be a connection?

The George Frazier I am looking for is of African-American decent. His son Arthur Frazier (born 1882 in Marion, Perry County, AL) was my grand-father. So his father George may have been born into slavery. Do you have any records? Or could this be of any connection?

I am just starting to do some research re my family genealogy. I am a daughter of Preston McCracken whoes mother was Anna Jane Frazier and her husband was Hiram McCracken. Anna Janes father was Joseph Frazier his father Rev. Thomas-his father Francis and finally George Thomas. Enjoyed all your comments. Doubt if I have any info but happy to share. I am originally from Iowa and now in Loveland Co.

There is a Robert Frazier listed in public white pages at 1201 Cedar Lane Road Apt 53 in Greenville.

This address is basically right across the street from the old Jones Trailer Park I mentioned in another post. Coincidence? 21 years later living less than 200 yards from where he was before?

The stastical odds say it is worth a check.

I knew a Robert Frazier and his younger brother James in Greenville, SC. Back in 1988. We were room mates in a rented mobile home at 2 Worth Street (Jones Trailer park).

Robert's (aka Bobby) father also lived there in Greenville.
James Joined the Marines in 1988 and went through Paris Island.

Robert was a member of the Donaldson Center National Guard at the time.

Robert was a toe head (white blonde)
James was brown headed.

Check with some of the Guard admin at Donaldson Center. There might still be people there who know him.

Thrilled to find your message.
I am working on a KY/TN connection for my WEEDENS, as I believe my ggrands were there.
Have had no success making any connections for my family history but believe the family originated in VA; and since KY was once part of VA, this makes sense.
My ggrands settled in Wilmington, NC, where I continue to try to find kin to my Native ggrandmother, CHARATA BROWN (WEELDON).
There is a SC connection as my ggrandfather is listed as born there in 1829, but have yet to find any kin.
Would LOVE to know more about your S/Law.

Your mentioned Weeden family. I had a sister-in-law and her maiden name was Weeden. I have never been able to find any info on her. She lived in Knoxville, Tennessee. Any connection to your Weeden family? I would like to find this info for her son.

My John Frazier who was married to Jane lived in Western Pennsylvania all his life. Both he and Jane are buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Sharon, Pa.

I believe he was born in New Castle, Pa., the son of another John Frazier who lived there and was married to Elizabeth. However, one census has these two men living next to each other, with the younger being married to someone named Isabel. Either my younger John Frazier was married twice (first to Isabel, then to Jane) or I have the wrong father. I need to do more research to make a firm connection between the two generations.

Have had no luck finding FRASER/FRAZIER connections in SC, but find that the surname is somehow connected to my WHILDENS, WEEDENS, WHELDONS of AA/Native descent of SC, NC and VA.
The info comes from a Freedmans bank record of SC under the name of NED FRASER.
Is this info familiar to anyone?

John Frazier was born in Virginia.I found him in the 1860 census married ti Jane with 2 children but lost him till he married Sarah Madora Moore in Groveton Texas.

There will be a reunion of the James E.& Agnes Austin Frazier descendents Sept. 12, 2009 at 11 AM at the Kern Center, Lake Junaluska, NC. James E.& Agnes died in present Oconee Co., SC after 1850. Their children were William E., Ransom Austin, & Matilda married to Ransom O'Neal. Other children never married.

Looking to follow this line further back. John Thomas Frazier was born somewhere in Kentucky in 1880-- He moved to Texas and married Annie Jane Holmes (b 1888 New Willard Texas, d. 1969 Orange Texas). They had at least 1 son Aleck Greene Frazier-- I found some references to him as John Thomas Frazier Senior so there may be a John Thomas Jr as well.

If you have any information that might help, I'd appreciate it!

Mary Frazier married Starling Marlow in 1886.

Starling Marlow born 1852 in Kentucky and died 6-22-1925 in Kentucky and buried in Hales Creek in Knox County, Kentucky.
He is the son of George and Nancy Carroll Marlow.

Children:John, George, Dora?, Deborah, Maxline, Sarah, Jim, Mary.

I saw your family tree on ancestry. You have confused two different William Cherrys. William Cherry of Wilkinson Co. , Ga was married to a Permelia Frazier. He was either born in NC or SC .I have not found positive proof. I do know he did not die in NC. He died in Ga. 6/14/1884 and so did Permelia
bef 1900. They were my great 2 grandparents on my mother's side.

1. Russell b abt 1900 marr Lillian F. Rosson 4 Nov 1921. Need his parents & siblings. Her parents were William Littleton ( Litt ) Rosson & Ada Lovelace Rosson. Have 2 children for Russell & Lillian.
2. Nimrod b abt 1860 marr Annie Wilks. Need their parents & siblings. Their dau Nettie Viola b abt 1880 marr Enoch Marvin Huffman Sr. 31 Dec 1901. He was the son of George Robert ( Jack ) Huffman & Cora Hester Burke. Have 13 children for Enoch & Nettie. The Huffman family were decendants of the germanna germans who settled in Orange Co Va in the early 1700's. See germanna's web site for info on the Huffman's. Any info appreciated on these Frazier's.

Try looking at his parents census info, check out Vienici.com, check with the Church of Latter Day Saints and buy a subscription to Ancestry.com.

Ancestry.com has the geneaolgy market info wrapped up darlin.

I banged my head against many a wall before I broke down and paid for my family's history... I am NOT promoting spending the money, as I did it with deep resentment... all I can say is it saved me alot of fruitless time and dead end searches on the internet.

Thank you for responding! I have looked for his parents but can only find George with a Candice Frazier not Janice (possibly the same person but no proof).

I am on ancestry.com and now have started searching death certs/obits of any George Frazier-possibly I can find one to connect my great-grandfather George to his son Arthur.

I will try the other web-site you gave me. Anything is worth a try. If you have any other hints please feel free to reply. I really appreciate it.

It is possible. The John Frazier in my family who married Elizabeth was, I am pretty sure, the father of John Frazier who married Martha Jane Kelly (she went by "Jane." He died in Sharon, Pennsylvania, in 1901.

Where did your Fraziers live?

I have a John and Elizabeth Frazier (different spelling) in my family. John was born in 1787 and died after 1850. They lived in New Castle, Pennsylvania.

I find Leander W. Frazier on the 1880 Chairiton Co., Mo. census:Leander 48 born in Tennessee, Nancy 43 born in Tennessee, Thomas 20 born in Tennessee,Willis 17 Mo.,John 15 Mo.,Martha J. 11 Mo., George 9 Mo., Jesse 4 Mo.
Do you know the parents of Leander? I can connect to most of the Missouri Fraziers but not Leander. Do you know where in Tennessee Leander moved from?

Frazier/Smith in Pulaski Co. KY

Searching for info on a brother and sister who were both apprenticed to different persons in Pulaski Co. Ky. One, Benjamin Cavil Frazier who was three years old in 1817 and apprenticed to Gamaliel Newby according to Pulaski Co.court records and two, Mary Polly Frazier who was six years old and apprenticed to Nancy Smith in 1818, court records.
