Thank you so very much!!! Your info brought back memories of names that I had heard as a child having spent a great deal of time with my gmother Christman. There was a big bible at her home but it disappeared some time and when I check with her son Howard he knew nothing about it. My father's guess was that it ended up with relatives of the Christman's in the Binghamton area but I have had no contact with them and assume that most are dead.
On Frederick Scott, I have that he died 12/30/43 and that his wife was Rose Stickney. I also have a newspaper clipping, not dated that a Mrs. Lovina Stickney age 75, married a Harvey Hurlbert of Richburg, NY at the home of Mrs. Fred Scott in Bolivar, NY. He was 78 and had been married 4 times, this was her second.
I also remember finding something about what my gmother's actual name was following her death and Cornelia is one of the names I found. She passed away 1/19/01 in Wellsville, NY. Vern(d) Christman passed away 4/1945. Their children are all deceased, Lillian 9/16/1924, Raymond 5/18/85 and Howard 5/86.
I don't know if you want any information on the Steenrod/Scott/Christman side but if you do, e-mail me and I can bring you pretty much up to date, I think.
