My dad Joseph Freda was from Newark. He was born in 1939. His father Joseph Freda was born in Hastings Pa. The family name was changed to Freda from Fredo. My grandfather owned barber shops, quite a few of them were in side the old Bamberger stores (now Macys). Does this ring any bells?
