Michale Freda was born in New York City, son of Victor Fredda. Michael changed the last name to Freda when he was in the Spanish-American War and Michael mother's name was Mary. Victor and Mary has 6 girls and 2 other boys besides Michael. Any information on this about the name change? Michael and his wife Florence (she was born--Veronica Florence Van Amber) lived in Linden NJ.
