I am trying to trace my ancestor John Charles Fredericks, born in Mauritius in 1860, died Liverpool 1888. Married to Martha Elizabeth Rooney / Balmer and daughter was Victoria.
I have found a Prosper Charles Fredericks on a slave log book for Mauritius in 1817 at age of 1 month and I'm not sure if they are related - possibly grand father or father?
Anyone with Mauritian Fredericks ancestors?
