Hello Cousins, I too am related to through this line. I come from Charles'(1785-1843) to his son William S> Freel.
and then to Williams' son Austin Franklin Freel who died while at Benton Barracks in St. Louis. He was with Capt. Fitchls Co. A of the 35th Mo Inf Vol. as a Pvt. He married to Amanda L. Donohue on 11 Oct 1855 in Warren Co., Iowa.
In 1859 Austin and William S. Freel both took out land in Harrison Co., Mo. Apparently Amanda and Austin had other children (John, Matt and Mary) But I need help in finding them. I can't find Amanda in the 1860, except one in Polk Co., Wonder if that could be her. But then what happened to the land in Harrison Co., Mo. ? I have Austin pic of his Civil War headstone at Find-A-Grave (FAG). I only have this much since my cousin has dug up what our grandmother left her in 1987 when she passed. Thank you for any assistance you might help with.
