Surnames: Freeland, Blanchard, Mabry
I am looking for any information on the Freelands of Alamance County. My GGGGG grandfather was Morgan Freeland born in 1815 in Alamance County and married to Nancy Blanchard. There was a Blanchard plantation and two Freeland plantations in Alamance County. I am thinking they were slaves and took on the name Freeland because that is as far back as I can get. If you have records of any slaves by that name, please share! Or if your ancestry goes to Morgan and Nancy.
