Is one of your decendants an Edmund that married a Martha Dancer? I am related to an Edmund Freeman b.1813 and d. about 1899. I know that the first Edmund in the colonies came on the ship Abagail. Other decendants are Samuel, William, Edmund, James Edmund Sr., James Edmund Jr., bband Frank Edmund Freeman, who is living today. From your information, I think that the name "Edmund" was passed down because he was "famous" for founding Sandwich, Massachusetts. Hope for any aditional info about Freemans before 1762. Thanks.
