I have a photo of my GGGrandfather Achille John Fregeau and his wife Alice Cordelia Fregeau my GGGrandmother dated both 1907.They both look to be in their fifties? Their children were Blanche (my GGrandmother) Franis, Alma, Emma, and I would swear that they had a brother, but not sure. I am also not sure if Emma and Alma are sisters or other relatives of theirs. My GAunt told me once that they lived in Canada, before coming to the U.S. and living out their lives in Colorado. I would enjoy more information on them if you have it. You can contact me at jnwestad@yahoo.com

Wow, I have not been on this site in a while. Thanks for your note.
I know all about the SCS library record of the family. My grandmother, Estella Meloche Frazho, was interviewed at the time. They have her on tape along with many family momentos. They wrote about the family in the Muskrat Tales magazine. The last of the farm land had just been sold at the time (at Centennial and Jefferson). We do have a lot of cousins! deb

I have a photo with several members of the Frazho family of St Clair Shores MI. It was taken in about 1916 on the ocassion of Nelson Labadie & Theresa Marsack's 50th wedding anniversary. I collected this picture in the 1970's while gathering oral histories for the SCS Library. It is in their collection today. With the help of my Father and several others, all those in the photo were identified. Among the Frazhos are Martha (Mattie) who married Gideon Labadie, William Frazho who married Annie Labadie and their sons Earl, Elmer and Walter. I'd be happy to share this with anyone interested.

I was interested in his wife when I found Joseph Alex Frigeau's gravestone in Douglas, MA - he was born 1874 - died 1924. His wife was Rose Anna Beauregard Fregeau born 1877 - died 1925. A quick look in 1920 census came up with no Joseph, or Alex or Rose Anna - that's all I know.
Good hunting, all !

My Frégeau line does have 2 Josephs.......both died young.

My direct line began with Daniel Frégeau and Anne Pauzé
who were married in 1699, Montgmagny, Quebec. Came from Poiters, Pictou, France. Their son, Pierre-Noel is my line via his son Jean-Baptiste and Josephte Laigu/Lanoue.
... I am the 10th generation of Fregeau's.........of the Bosivert line I am the 11th generation.........

If the list would like, I can put my 11 generations down, direct line only..........with the areas they lived in.

Hi,
I am new to looking for Fregeau's, but as I was reading the messages I read one by Gloria Carr. Her genealogy begins with Daniel Fregeau (b. 1650) spouse Marie Mergot (b. 1650)
You can read her whole list by seeing her reply to my inquiry (Linda Fregeau McIntire).
After all this time I don't know if you have already gotten the info you need.

Hi Tiffany,
I am new to the genealogy scene and I was just reading through the messages pertaining to FREGEAU. I too have relatives (Fregeaus) who lived in Chicago. I wonder how far you have gotten in your search of the Fregeau name. Do you have any of these people:Clarence Theodore Fregeau who married Eunice Maynard and had a child named Rosemary? Clarence had a baby brother Leo who died before the age of 2. Prehaps the name came up again with your Grandfather. Some other names I have are: Joseph Fregeau who married Lillian Helene Chouinard. THey had several children: (Leo who died) Philip, Forence, Rose, Clarence, Loretta, Blanche, Helen and Joseph. The last two were by Dianah. Philip Fregeau married Theresa Edgeworth and had Richard, Lillian, Paul and Philip. Are any of these a relative???????
I would be anxious to hear from you. My whole search has been to find my father's(Richard) sister Lillian. He and his siblings were fostered and he has no idea of her whereabouts.
Thanks
Linda Fregeau McIntire

Hi! I received your message. My husband is "one of the Glenn Frazho's". His uncle is Thomas Frazho descended from James Clinton. His father being James Frazho another son of Clinton. Most of my info comes from a paper given to me by my mother-in-law, or Rosemary Frazho (wife of Tom) By Barbara Newberry. Also found a paper handwritten by Rose B. Frazho Trombley. Glenn's immediate family are now all in Florida while we are in VA. We did visit MI and I saw Mt. Clemens, St. Claire Shores, etc. There are also related Frazho's in Omaha, NE. I met a cousin of my father -in-law in the VA hospital there before he passed away. He had a couple sons who my husband talked with also in Omaha. Good-luck.
