Clayton Harvey Frei, 83, of Loveland died March 2, 2005, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
He was born Aug. 3, 1921, in Clay Center, Neb., to Frederick Aaron Frei and Margaret Mack Frei.
He married Marie Reeh on April 28, 1948, in Wray. He did grocery work and was a route salesman for bread, retiring in 1982.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He moved to Loveland in 1953 from Julesburg.
His enjoyed cars and racing them. He loved people and was always doing something.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Frei of Loveland; two sons, Ron Frei of Loveland, and Gary Frei and wife Janet of Sidney, Neb.; two daughters, Phyllis Krieger and husband Willard of Loveland, and Carol Goettsche of Colorado Springs; a brother, Darwin Frei of Longmont; three sisters, Doris Blaubaugh of Greeley, Darlene Whistler of Thornton, and Gloria Miller of Fort Morgan; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Viegut Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 2929 N. Wilson Ave., Loveland.
Burial will be in Loveland Burial Park.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Clayton H. Frei Memorial Fund in care of Viegut Funeral Home, 1440 N. Boise Ave., Loveland, CO 80538.
