Hi I am also looking for information on the family...my great grandfather Virgil Fritz seems to be directly related to the family name...Fritz was the name that was used once the family came to America from Germany...I too say Freitag and Freytag as optional spellngs which mean friday. Fredrick Fritz and Mary Fritz came from Germany...born in the mid to late 1800's. If you have any more info that would be great....perhaps we share relatives.
