I have a Johanna Katharina FREITAG, b. 9 Feb 1829 - d.19 Apr 1885, who may have come from Kiel, Germany probably between 1865-1870. She married Marx Freidrich LOHSE/LOOSE. Story has it that they (Lohse/Loose) left Germany for Switzerland, then continued on to Canada and settled in NY. Maybe this will help you find your Freitags.
