I have some information about the Freker/Frecker family at my website: http://earlydues.usanethosting.com/ruskauff/index.htm

The name was spelled both Frecker and Freker in documents we've found in the archives in Osnabrueck, Niedersachsen, Germany.

There's also a Frecker message board here:

John Conrad Ruskauff married Anna Elizabeth Freker on 17 Nov 1846 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. They had 11 children.

Towns where Johann Conrad Ruskauff and Anna Elizabeth Freker and/or their children have lived:

* Hilter, Osnabrück, Niedersachsen, Germany
(or possibly Borghloh)
* Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania
* Township of Westford, Richland County, Wisconsin
* Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin
* Cazenovia, Sauk/Richland Counties, Wisconsin
* Riverside, Riverside County, California
* Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California
* Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California

We think these families connect to the Dierckers, Vogl and Broxtermann families from the Osnabrueck area.

I'm still researching this family; if anyone would like to share info, please let me know.

Debbie
