I am writing to the person that said his father's name was Dennis Fremin and he died in the line of duty when you were three. What was your mother's name?

I never heard of Edgar and Edna Fremin. My grandparents names were Dennis James & Myrtle Fremin (maiden name was Garcia). They lived in New Orleans, LA and had two sons Dennis R and Danny. They both worked for N.O.P.D. My great grandmother spoke only french. My father (Dennis R Fremin) was killed on duty in New Orleans 1961 when I was 3 yrs old. Lost contact with the family. Would love to make contact now.

looking for marie armelise fremin, married alexandre bourgeios then michel perez. need dates
particularly on perez union. he is my ancestor.
she had children by him circa1860, no proof of marriage.
dont know his parents names.

He was born to Henry Clay Kern(e) Thibodaux,LA ,born 1877 and Julie Eve Foret born 1877,
Henry Clay Kern born to Joesph Clay Cyprien Kerne born August 1847 Thibodaux
and Aglae Boudreaux.
J.C.C.Kerne was born to Cyprien Kerne and Zulma Prejean.
Aglae Boudreaux to Adolphe Boudreaux and Mathilde Vicknair.
Cyprien Kerne was born Oct 1822 to Jean Bapisite Kerne who was born Jan 1797 St John Parish who was
born to Jean Baptiste Kerne born Aug 1774 St John Parish to George Kerner.
Jean Baptiste Kerne was born to Jean Baptiste Kerne and to Marie Helte, daughter of Jean Helte and Catherine Chavre (Oubre).
Zulma Prejean was born to Jean B. Kerne and Marie Celeste Vickner, daughter of Antonio Vickner, son of Jean Adam Vicner and Anna Barbe Tregre,
Marie Celeste Vickner was also born to Dorothee Cuvillier, daughter of Pierre Cuvillier and Marie Josephe Picou.
Julie Eve Foret was born Feb 1877 to Anatoe Foret and Eliska Fremira (Fremin)

Yes, this ties in with my information. On Camille's side I have him traced back 5 more generations to France. Give me a few days to look up info on his wife.

Children of Camille Fremin are:

2 i. Mabel Marie7 Fremin, born February 13, 1906 in LA; died April 18, 1988 in Jefferson Parish, LA.

I am grandson of Camille Fremin, resident of Cora-Texas sugar plantation near White Castle, LA. His daughter, Mabel Marie (b.1906) married my father, Edward John, in New Orleans in 1931. Since I am unable to trace any further up my lineage than Camille, any info. would be appreciated.

Searching for the family of William Carroll FREMEN (FREMIN, FREEMAN?). He was born Oct 26, 1833. Censuses from Indian Territory/Oklahoma (where he moved to and later died) say he was born in either Mississippi (where he lived from 1859-1876), Alabama, or Louisiana. We don't know anything about him...his parents, siblings, etc.
We know there are FREMENs and FREMINs who live in LA and was wondering if William C.'s name is in anyone's records there. Please, contact me if you may have a connection.

Hi I am looking for any info I can find on my dad's side of the family. His name was Harding Joseph Fremin, born in Morgan City, LA in 1921. Sometime after that they moved around Cinclare Sugar mill, where he went to work at the age of 14. His dad's name was Rudolph. This is where it gets tricky--I have a copy of the 1920 Census from St. Mary Parish, LA and my grandfothes name was listed as FREEMAN not FREMIN. I am think that this could be the census takers mistake because it also shows that my grandparents could not read and write. I know that this is them because of their first names and they had a son living at home with them, this was my paran.
I have been searching for so long, it really gets frustrating. I would appreciate any help I can get on this matter.

Fremin / Freeman

My Father was born at white Castle, la. the family apparently moved to the gretna area. The family name was Fremin,some are still there as Fremins. my Dad married my mom and moved to Bay St. louis, Miss. and got tired of the hassel of correcting people on the spelling.he changed it to Freeman.
I have his merchant marine papers, on the first trip out it was spelled Fremin. The very next page, second trip it is spelled Freeman.
I have had no luck with the Fremin side of my family. The only thing I can figure out in my own mind is that they must have been wanted by the law, ha ha.
The only survivor I know of is Elmo Fremin in Gretna He is my Dad's brother and says he cant remember anything. not even his grand parents names. this family had a tremendous communications problem, as was mine.

Edgar and Edna were grandparents I never met.
I am trying to find any info about them apparently family discussions were never heard of. Please contact me if you have any information.They were from the Southern part of Louisiana-New Orleans area.
