HI,
I too, are trying to trace the family "FRERE" all I know is Eleanor/Ellen FRERE married THOMAS BAYLIS and their son was born in 1791 in Walsall, Staffordshire. Thomas was in the army apparently as was his son Thomas Henry. I live in Australia and have come to a dead end with this family. Thomas and Eleanor/Ellen would be my 4 x great grand parents. Their son was THOMAS HENRY BAYLIS who came to Australia with his wife and family in 1831.
Hoping we maybe able to help each other.
Kind regards Christine
