Surnames: FREW, FRUE, CRAIG
Has anyone come across FRUE? Is it a 'known' variant of FREW?

I've just come across a Helen FRUE, born: 1785 in Irvine, Ayr, Scotland married to a James CRAIG b: 6 Mar 1789 in, Ayr, Scotland who loks a reasonable choice to be my ggg grandfather.
