I know quite a bit about the Frew family of Frewsburg, but your 1770s date is a generation too early. Hugh and Mary (Russell) Frew emigrated to the US from Killyleagh, near Belfast, in 1794, bringing with them their three sons John, James and David. John and James settled the town of Frewsburg in the opening years of the 1800s. I am descended from John Frew and know quite a bit about John's and James' descendants.
