Isaac Bucannan Friar was my GGrandfather, born March 1853 In Claiborne County, TN; d. abt 1892 in Claiborne. His father was Thomas Friar Jr, born about 1807 in KY and died in Claiborne County abt 1892.

Thomas' father was Thomas Sr., b. abt 1775 in PA
Thomas Jr married Nancy Richardson in Claiborne 1828 and had 9 children. Nancy diied abt 1847.

He then married Martha Jane Estes, a widow with a son, James C Runnion b. 1845. Thomas and Martha had 6 children. Isaac was their 3rd child.

Isaac married Emma Caylor abt 1877 in Claiborne County.

I have some perhaps unrelated information: George Friar and his wife Ursula arrived in VA in 1624 from London on the ship "WILLIAM & THOMAS"
