Jacoba Frias and her husband RAfael Almeida were rumored to have been killed in an insurgent uprising during the Cuban Wars of Independence, 1886-1900. Their child, Juana Almeida Frias, was raised as an orphan by Gen. Jose Manuel Capote Sosa. I'm looking for info on Jacoba Frias as well as Rafael Almeida.
