I'm not sure if we're related or not. My GGGrandfather was born around 1840, Johann Friedrichs. Sailed on passenger ships back and forth to Germany. He married Mete Hedemann. They were from Bremen. She died around 1940 at the age of 97. My GGrandfather was Friedrich (Friedrich) Friedrichs who came to the US 1879-1880, born in Germany in 1865. Stayed with a Dora Keating somewhere in the north until moving to Charleston, SC. Met and married Anna Catherine Christina Hulseberg on 12/18/1889. Raised a family of 10 children. Catherine died in 1969 of flu epidemic.
