I'm searching for Friels in the Cambusthenan, Lanarkshire, Bathgate, Armadale, Fauldhouse, Whitburn, Alexandria area of Scotland. This would be the Mid- and West Lothians, I believe. I'm a cousin of Chris Friel from Warwick, RI. Our Friels emigrated around the 1920s (altho some earlier) and settled in Rhode Island, Ohio, and Missouri, as far as we presently know. Also have one ancestor who allegedly moved out to Yonkers, NY when he joined the D'Oyly Carte Light Opera Company in the early 1920s as an Irish tenor. Am especially interested in where our Irish ancestors came from, but that's another post. (But if anyone's interested, our earliest known ancestors were born in Coleraine, Portstewart, Co Derry.) Sound familiar to anyone?
