I was wondering if you got anywhere with your search.My grandfather was Patrick Canning from Portsalon and he had a brother Charlie who I think was married to Mary Kate Friel from Ballyhiernan ( which is about a mile from Kindrum ).If you think this is the same Charles and Mary I would be intrested in any details you could give me on their family.
