Rita Friel Kokensparger
JUNCTION CITY: Rita Friel Kokensparger, 73, of Junction City, Ohio died at 10:30pm on Monday, August 22, 2011 at New Lexington Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Born October 22, 1937 in New Straitsville, Ohio (Perry County) to the late Edward and Florence Hammers Friel.
Mrs. Kokensparger was a 1956 graduate of Saint Aloysius Academy; an artist and enjoyed crafts.
Member of Saint Rose Catholic Church of New Lexington and Rehoboth-Jackson Grange.
Survived by, husband, Mearl Kokensparger of the home. Children, Brian (Karen) Kokensparger of Omaha, NB.; Judy (Rodger) Shaner of McConnelsville; Keith Kokensparger of Junction City; Linda (Brent) Graves of Ardmore, AL. and Steven (Corinne) Kokensparger of Blacklick, Ohio; 14 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren.
Brothers and Sisters: Nancy Danielson, Carolyn Stoffel, Jim Friel and Rose Ann Lee.
In addition to her parents, preceded in death by son, Jeff Kokensparger; brothers and sisters, Joe Friel, Mary Tipple and Robert Friel.
Calling hours will be held from 1pm-3pm & 5-7pm with Rosary at 6:30pm on Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Roberts Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Saint Rose Catholic Church, Main and Water Streets, New Lexington, Ohio.
