my great grandfathers family lived around Austin Springs ,KY there is a cemetary there with a lot of frields' and there is one cemetary that is located on private property with a zelphia frields and if I remember correct the dates are in the 1700's. my great grandfather was William Harry Frields and was married to Eva Taylor.

Searching for the correct name of the late husband of "Vannie" Oliver, b. Oct 1868. She appears in 1900 Census, widowed, with 2 children; Roy A. Frields, b. 8 Jul 1887, d. Jun 1987 and Nora M. Frields, b. Oct 1890, d. 2 Jul 1910. Children report their father was born in Missouri.

"Vannie" Oliver is the daughter of James Andrew Washington Oliver and Martha A. "Mattie" Golson.

I too have visited Graves County (about 28 years ago). I don't believe I will be able to help you with the requested information. However, since Nancy Jane Frields died young and Laura Bell Frields died in 1894, they can probably be eliminated as being the person known as "Minnie" who moved to Colorado around the turn of the century.

That would leave Martha Frields and Mary Jemina Frields. Mary Jemina died in 1959 in Santa Monica, CA (she had three husbands; Byam, Deem, and Hall). Martha Frields was married to Lee Murrell (Martha died in 1920; location unknown).

As you probably know, James Taylor's mother was Dolly Bouden and his father was Captain James Wade.

Not much help I know, but that's all I have at the moment.

The James Taylor you list as Eliza (Wade)(Taylor) Frields' first child was my g-g-grandfather. I'm very interested in any other information you may have about Eliza, including any photos or documents that might exist. I visited Graves County KY a couple of years ago and have some information on Eliza's family (Wade) that I would be happy to share. Also, James Taylor's sister "Minnie" Frields moved to Colorado where JT was Sheriff of Montrose County around the turn of the 20th Century. Any idea which of the Frields children might have been referred to as "Minnie"?

According to records compiled by my mother (deceased), Eliza Wade married Aaron Frields. Aaron was born in Weakley County, Tennessee on 3 May 1840. He died on 17 February, 1918 in Cairo, Illinois and was buried in Dukedom, Tennessee. Aaron had seven siblings (names are available upon request). Aaron Frields was born to David Frields (b. 1804 - d. 2 January 1858) and Katherine Farmer (b. 1810 North Carolina).

Eliza Katherine Wade (Taylor) was born in 1845 in Graves County, KY and died 26 June 1898. She is buried in Dukedom, Tenn. Her father was Captain James Wade and her mother was Dolly Bouden. Eliza had nine children born between 1860 and 1886. James Taylor 3 Aug 1860; Mary Taylor 8 Oct 1862; Nancy Jane Frields 6 May 1871; David Andrew Frields 10 July 1869; Martha Frields 6 June 1875; Laura Belle Frields 2 April 1873; Robert E. Frields 2 Feb 1877; Mary Jemina 18 Nov 1879; and Benjamin Franklin Frields 7 April 1886. Benjamin F. Frields is my grandfather. Ben married my grandmother, Johnnie V. Callahan, in 1912 and they both died in Los Angeles in 1974. The child that died young was Nancy Jane Frields. Mary Taylor also died young (less than one year old on 2 April 1863). I

I have limited information on most of the other children of Aaron and Eliza (names of spouses, death dates). Let me know if any of this information has been useful or if I can be of further assistance.

My father (Cornelius W. Frields) was raised in Graves County. He had a first cousin who married into the Taylor family. I will go into my records and see if there is anything I can provide that helps.

My father's older sister, Betty Jean Levitt m. Ernest Marvin Bush, nickname Bud. They were not able to have children, so I told Uncle Bud I would see what I could find out about his family. Uncle Bud's mother was Florence Frields b. 11 Jul 1901 in Gallatin County, Illinois, d. July 1975 in California.

Florence married Irl Bush b. 1 Mar 1899 d. 1 Dec 1949 in Effingham County, Illinois.

Children: Marion Marie Bush b. 16 Nov 1918-married 3 times, not children.
Ernest Marvin Bush b. 1 Oct 1920

According to Uncle Bud, his parents divorced. They both remarried. Florence did not have any other children.

Looking for info. on Eliza C. (Wade) born 1844 Graves Co. Ky. who married first Joshua H. Taylor 1859 Graves Co. and second A. Frields in 1860 (probably Graves Co. Ky.). His first name is unknown. He was born ca. 1840 Ky. Its believed that the family moved to Tn. where Eliza died maybe in 1894. Its said that they had several children but the only one known is the child that died young and buried in Wade Cem. in Graves Co. Ky. N.J. Frields daughter of A. & e.C. Frields 16 May 1871-18 Mar 1884. Can anyone provide ANY info.???

Looking for KY link for Beverly Allen Frields,
born 1817 somewhere in KY. Moved to MO, married
Louisa Eveline West in 1836 in Callaway County, MO.
This part of Callaway County changed to Audrain
County. After a breif move to Arkansas, moved back
to Audrain County, MO and lived there until he died.
Second wife was Margaret Jenkins. Beverly Allen's
children were, William Edward Freels (my gg-grandfather),
Jeremiah Jackson Freels, Narcissus J. Freels
(married a Woodson), Julia Elizabeth Frields (married
Peter Keller), George Freels (moved to Montana), John Freels
(married Sally Nobles), Mary Freels (married a Branstetter and
a Keller), Permelia Freels, Roland Frields,
Andrew Arthur Frields, Lucy Frields, and a unnamed
child listed on will in 1865.

I am looking for Beverly Allen's parents and sibilings. Any info would be appreciated.

My Grandfather was Issac Frields, he was born in Shawneetown,IL.From what my Grandmother has told me his father (who's named was also Issac) was marrid to a Wilma Moore. My Grandfather's father died when he was 5yrs. old. I was told that his father might of had about five brothers but that is all I know. I am told that the Frields now in Shawneetown are related to my Grandfather. But that is all I know.

Hi, Any help would be greatly appreciated. Asa F. Frields DOB/DOD unknown, married Mary F. Williamson Gallatin Co. 02/24/1895, Children: Ruth Frields, Florence Frields DOB Abt. 1908, Claud E. Frields DOB 08/31/1893 DOD 11/05/1979 in Missouri, Mable Marie Frields DOB 07/13/1921 still living. Asa Frields my ggreat grandfather, have no information on his parents/sisters/brothers. I do know that he lived/married in Shawneetown, Gallatin Co., IL. Have a few possibles but can not connect them to each other. I do know that when I was a young child that my great grandfather Claud Frields whom I spent the summers with (Asa's Son) talked about going to a hunting cabin at Shawnee Landing, Gallatin, IL. I know this is not alot of information to go by, but anything would be greatly appreciated.
