My g-g-g-g grandfather is Jarvis Frier and besides not having anything past Henderson Frier, I am getting stuck with tracing my g-grandfather's spouse information. I was hoping that maybe you would have some information. My g-grandfather was Samuel Austin Frier (1881-1935) and his wife was Joeanner Bass (1882-1972). I have seen her name spelled as Joanna but conflicting census reports have it both ways. I am mainly looking for her parents information. If you can help that would be great!

*Also - if you have information prior to Henderson Frier (b 1775) that would be great also.

I'm using a cousin's access to ancestry.com. My name is William McDonald.

Ardelia Frier was married to William Dowling, as I recall, not Moses Dowling. At any rate, I am also descended from this couple and from Ryan Frier.

I have photos of both Ryan Frier and his wife, Sarah Peacock Frier, as well as their gravesites in Plant City, Florida. I also have an e-copy of Joshua Frier's (Ardelia's brother) Civil War Journal I can provide to you.

My husband Hyman's cousin came yesterday and picked up all of my paperwork. She is going to do more research and finish what I started with the help of Anita. I do not have any pictures though of Alford Revels wife. Was that Bathsheba Frier the sister of James Jackson Frier. The family that came yesterday have alot of pictures they are going to email me some soon. I'll let you know.

My mother, wife of Franklin Eugene Frier (son of Leroy Frier) has quite of bit of information on the Frier family. She has info that Henderson Frier, Sr.(DOB 1775) was married to Deliliah Williams. Henderson Frier had a son named Jarvis Frier and Jarvis had a son named Henderson Matthew Frier (born 1824). He had a son named Richard Bradford Frier (born 1861 in Madison, FL). And he has a son named William Eugene Frier (10-23-1884) in Madison, FL. He died around 1960. William Eugene Frier was my great grandfather. It's funny..., my brother's name is Matthew Franklin Frier. I have a cousin (another great grandson of William Eugene) named Bradford. His mother was a Frier. Her daughter's name is Melissa. I am Jennifer Jean Pace. My maiden name is Frier. My grandfather, Leroy Frier, is the son of William Eugene Frier. Leroy (my paternal grandfather) had three children: James Leroy Frier, Franklin Eugene Frier (my father) & Ruby Elaine Frier.

I saw your post! My name is Jenny (Jennifer Jean Frier Pace). I am William Eugene Frier's great granddaughter. I am 43 and currently live in Tallahassee, but I was born and raised in Arcadia, FL.

My great grandfather was William Eugene (Gene) Frier. I was told that he was a shoemaker. He was married to Millie and he had one son, Leroy Frier and one daughter, Ruby Vinetta Frier. I have pictures of all.

Leroy Frier married Zula Mae Johnson (her friend's called her Tiny). She and my grandfather Leroy, had three children. James Leroy Frier, Franklin Eugene Frier & Ruby Elaine Frier. My father is Franklin Eugene (Gene) Frier. James died in 1976 and my father died in 1978. Ruby Elaine (my Aunt) is living in Tampa, FL. Her last name is now Cavanaugh.

So, I am sure we are related. Can you tell me more about you? Who was your father and mother?

I am looking for information on the Bass side of my father's family. My grandfather, Tallie Frier, was the son of Samuel Austin Frier (1881-1935) and Joeanner Bass (1882-1972). I am looking for more information on Joeanner Bass's side of the family. I have that her dad was Joseph Bass (DOB 2/1863) and Oseanna (DOB 1857). I don't have a maiden name for Oseanna. In our family bible Alfred Revels was a witness at the marriage of my husbands great grand Father Milladge Frier's wedding. James Jackson Frier's first wife was Elizabeth Revels sister to Alfred. I am not sure but I'm going to ask my Grandma and get back to you to either confirm or deny this. Emma Lou was her Mom but she had an affair and had my Grandma out of wedlock and gave her to her friend who my Grandma referred to as "Mama Flo" - Emma had a son I believe which would've been my Grandma's half brother. Unfortunately back in those times they really wanted nothing to do with my Grandma because of the situation and they never 'claimed' her as family. She is now 71 and we've tried for years to piece together whatever information we can. Maybe we've finally got a lead! :)

Was her mother's name Callie and her father's name Robert? Robert B. Fryer (as we spelled it) was my great grandfather and I have a little information on the Fryer (fryar, freyer, frier, friar) family from Calhoun County, Alabama and Spalding County, Georgia.

My great-great grandparents were Reps Davis, and I believe, Comfort E. Davis. I have a census cited on a family tree for a Reps Davis married to a woman named Comfort. One of their children, Bessie, was my great-grandmother.

Does anyone have any information on these people? I believe Becky's parents were Ivan and Ruby Morrison who lived in Tippecanoe County, Indiana in 1943. She was married to David W. Schaffner 4/11/1943 in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. He was killed Jan. 20, 1945 in WWII. She remaried Donald G. Frier on Aug. 25, 1946 in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. I believe she died May 13, 1985 maybe in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Quinn is related through James Jackson Frier born 11/28/1828. He married Elizabeth Revels Frier.They had Jackson James Frier born July 31, 1858. Alot of the information list him as James J Frier. Our family BIBLE says Jackson J Frier. Quinn and my Husband both come from this line. We live in Lafayette County Florida....

I was just browsing the web and googled my last name and i found myself on this site. i read a message saying that there were some frier's located in Georgia. I myself live in Mayo, Florida and a few years ago a man came to my house looking for a grave not far from my home. He claimed that he was a member of a family that had married into the Frier's, the Stevens I believe. He told me that our families had moved down from the Carolina's to Georgia around Valdosta together and from there to North Florida. I was just wondering if he was telling the truth and also if I am related to you all.I am striving to gain more info about my family's history and any help would be greatly appreciated.
