Their father's name was also Pharris. They lived in NJ and GA to our knowledge. Just wondering if perhaps you have come across them in your research. Thank you.

Thanks,
Yes I found that link...that is what prompted me to find Lyman Frink, Rufus' brother...I went to the Wisconsin State Historical Library of all places. They had the earlier edition from the 1970s. When I got home I found an article on the web about Lyman's death in 1872, and in it refers to his father Jabez Frink in Indiana. I think the confusion lies in the numerous Jabez and Rufus Frinks that appear in multiple generations.
Good Luck

Hi again
I just went to Library to check the Frink book...
She has Rufus as the son of Jabez Jr. and Eleanor Randall
Jabez dies in 1879 in Lick Creek Cemetery near Harrisburg Indiana. The brother in Andersonville prison was Lyman.

Jabez Junior is obviously the son of Jabez Frink born on 23 June 1773 wife Polly Stillman

Their line then goes back to Christopher then William then Samuel then John Frink...I will send you the scanned copies I have when I have a bit of time. And yes, Rufus was married 3 times! Can't quite figure the middle one as she died after his 3rd marriage to Clarissa.

Happy to share- if emailed directly at RERamsay@hotmail.com

I would note that this article has his middle initial as M instead of E. The article also provides information relative to where Rufus lived.

I've yet to find other information regarding the parents of Rufus.
I too am looking for information on Rufus Egbert Frink's parents.
My husband is a direct descendant of Rufus, his first wife Catharine Sprung, and his second wife Clarissa (Frazier)Snodgrass. Rufus' son Mortimer married Carrie Ethelyn Snodgrass, and then their widowed parents (Rufus and Clarissa)married each other and had more children. The Martha reference while in the 1880 census is not connected with Rufus E Frink.

Josiah Frink m Rebecca Smead 1790 Montague, MA

Can anyone supply any information on a Josiah Frink, b 01 May 1768 in Keene, NH, died 1833 (possibly in Weathersfield, Windsor Co., VT where he was residing at time of 1830 census). He was married to Rebecca Smead born 20 Apr 1752 in Montague, Hampshire Co., MA. They were married on 01 Mar 1790 also in Montague, MA. They had children: Samuel, Laura, Rebecca, Thomas Winslow, Calvin and Josiah (Jr?). The first 5 kids were born in Swanzey, NH and the last one in Springfield, VT. I have the Smead line, but could really use some help on these Frinks! LOL It seems logical that they are related to the Dr. Thomas Frink who was one of the first settlers in Keene, NH but no idea the connection. Appreciate your time and efforts.
Cheryl
I don't know if we have a connection or not, but I have been trying to find out about an ancestor named Miner Frink. Miner Frink was apparently born in Connecticut about 1786 or 1787. He was married to a woman named Hannah (I do not know the last name). They had a daughter named Mary, who married George Leggett of Saratoga County, NY. Mary Frink Leggett lived from about 1821-1877).

In the 1850 federal census, Miner Frink was listed as age 63 and born in Connecticut. Hannah was listed as age 61 and born in New York State. In 1850, they lived in Albany, NY. A letter dated 1872 from Miner Frink, Jr. to his sister, Mary, indicates that their father was still alive at that time, which would put him in his mid-80's.

I have no information on the Frinks other than this, but it makes sense that an unusual first name like "Miner" might derive from the mother's surname. The names Pierce and Dodge are also in my background, although that is probably coincidence.

If you believe we might connect, please let me know.

Hello, Patrick,

I'm the sister of Peggy Frink Humphreys and I assisted her with both volumes of the family history. The only photos are ones of the original grave markers of John and Grace, the immigrants, near Stonington, Connecticut. This volume contains well over 1200 pages as it is and would have been prohibitive to include photos, documents, maps, etc. although we certainly considered it.

If you do decide to order her address is Box 87502, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87502.

I can't afford one of these books right now. But for years I have been searching for the parents of Susan Frink b. c 1798-1805, lived Danby, Vermont, married 1820 Samuel Smith of Mt. Tabor, Vermont. On Samuel's pension records he states his wife to be Susanna Frink, and in the Danby, Vt records it says she was Susanna Harrington. The children's records show the mother to be Susan (Susannah) Frink. One census records she says she was born in RI. The names of her children (Smith) are:
Sidney, Alonzo, Charles, Chauncey, Albert, Ruby, Caroline Judith, Lucy, Deborah Eliza, Rachel. If anyone would volunteer any info that might be found on this Susan Frink, it would be greatly appreciated. lorriecarr@gmail.com

I am descended from "Nabby" F. Dodge Pierce who was born in 1785, married first John Dodge and then Benjamin Pierce. I believe this is the same person as Abigail Frink b. 1785 in New London, CT. Parents David Frink and Desire Miner.

I have a note that John Dodge, b. 1777 married Abigail Frink in Vermont in 1805. I would like documentation of this. Also would like to hear from other descendents of this family.

"Nabby F. Dodge" has been something of a Mystery Lady. It would be wonderful to prove she actually was the Abigail Frink mentioned above. I'm descended from her daughter, Abigail Pierce Mason.

Please email me!
