Hi, I am positive this is the person I am trying to research also!I am married into the Gant family in Ider Alabama. I am the daughter in law of Howard O Gant he is 82 years old and still lives in Ider. While researching this part of my husbands family, I have heard stories from different members of the family. One such story is that Bettie Maynor was found on the doorsteps of the maynor family and they raised her.(?) Another story I have heard is that she was a native american indian. She is my husband William Jordan Gant's grandmother. - (long story about the name) So, You must be related to my husband. Zack Gant married Bettie Maynor and had several children. Howard, Zeck, Emma, Joyce, Irene, Artie, can't remember anymore right now.
