Frisco's in California

Hi There! Just stumbled on this site and wanted to let you know there are a bunch of us Frisco's here in California. Our relatives live in Polizzi Generosa in Sicily. My grandfather Adolpho Gianfisco came to the US where his name was changed to Frisco. He married Johanna Christodoro (my grandmother) and had four children: Samuel (Sammy) Charles
Frank (Frncesco) and Delphine. Sammy died in WW 11 in Africa, Delphine passed in 1955 at the age of 25 from a brain tumor and both Frank and Charles are in their 80's and doing well. There are 11 immediate offspring from Frank and Charles. Both families for the most part live in California with one Frisco (John) in Chicago and another Frisco (Lynn) Me! in Nashville Tenessee.

Would love to hear from other Frisco's! My dad, Frank went to school at Loyola University in Los Angeles in the 40's after the war. My uncle Chuck is a retired judge living in Whittier Calif.

Anybody know us? < : )

i want to know who my dad is

I was born in Sacramento, CA. in 1977. When I turned 18, I found out the dad i've had my whole life isn't really my biological dad. My mom won't tell me who exactly my real father is. She just says his name is Frisco & that he died while she was pregnant with me. She won't say if Frisco is a last name or first. Her name is Leslie, maiden name Houston. She lived in Alaska right before she got pregnant. She was 27yrs. old when she had me, & I was her first kid. Nobody knows but her why she won't tell me his identity, but it's killing me not to know who he is. He might be Italian, maybe from the Chicago area. Please help if you can. thank you.

Re: Martha Frisco

I am almost positive my grandmother is the same Martha Frisco you are talking about. My Father's name is Nicholas Frisco and he had a brother James Frisco. He also had a younger brother whose father was Andy Kern, his name is Jerry. We are from Chicago. Martha later divorced Pete Frisco and went on to marry Walter Pollard. My grandmother told me that she had a daughter that she gave up for adoption. She always thought about her. I hope we are related. Please feel free to contact me at sandylee74@hotmail.com. I live in Florida now and am married with two boys. Feel free to call me at 904-291-2838 home or 904-622-8635 cell. Sandy Frisco-Brown

Frisco - Italy

I know of Frisco's in the Chicago area. Amanda
Frisco, d/o Rosario Richard Frisco who is the son
of Rosario (Sarro) Frisco. Sarro Frisco is the
s/o Salvadore Frisco. I checked passenger lists
on Ancestry.com for Salvadore Frisco. He immigrated
from Palermo IT in Jan 1906 into Port of
New Orleans. Sarro had lots of brothers, most
have now deceased. You may want to check passenger
lists, or advise if any relatives are in
Chicago area.
Patty

She lived in Chicago in the early 40's. She gave me up to Mary and Andrew Kern for adoption in 1943. She had other children. Is Martha alive? I was born Sharon Frisco on June 2, 1943. Anyone out there ever heard of me? I have a beautiful story if Martha is interested. Life has been good!
