Grace, I am also researching Amanda Coy who married Jacob Fritts. I believe she is the sister to my husband's 2g grandfather, John S. Coy. All I know about John is he was born in New York, he moved to Pennsylvania, there he married a woman named Rebecca Hagedon, at some point they moved to Michigan (where I live). John also had a brother, Ansel Baker, who married Rebecca's sister, Jane. I have census and other proof of their marriages and where they lived. Since their ages show they were born as follows: Amanda, abt. 1809; John, abt. 1812 and Ansel, abt. 1815, I believe they are related but I have no info on the Coy line. If you have anything to add, like the county in NY where they were from, I would be so appreciative. Thank you.
