If you can give me some dates of birth and death. Where he was born and died. Where he lived? Wife's (maiden)_name and dates of birth, death, marriage, locations, etc. It's very hard to find someone without that info. If you can give that info, I'm sure I can help. Bear with me. LOL. I was grabbing the info from my family tree earlier and had things screwed up. I gave you Howard O.(Oswell) Fritts grandparents info rather than his parents. Let me try this one more time!

Howard's father is Charles Ezekiel Fritts, born May of 1852 in Loudon County, Virgina and died 3 Jan 1949. His mother was Allie Amelia Deering (possible alternate name of Deery), born February 1856 (possibly in Virginia) and died 14 Dec 1948.

If we're talking about the same Howard Oswell Fritts, he was born in West Virginia (most likely the Harpers Ferry area). I show that Howard died 17 February 1994 in Front Royal, Warren County, Virginia. His social security death index and a couple census reports are available here on ancestry. There is one census report that lists a wife by the name of Lillie S. Fritts? This information is relatively new to me so I haven't had a chance to double check. Perhaps that was a first or second wife? Or a nickname?

I show my Howard Fritts as having the following siblings:

John Leonard Fritts
Ida Blanche Fritts (my great grandmother)
Charles William Fritts
Millard Eugene Fritts

I also show possible addition siblings (I haven't confirmed) by the names of :

Georgia A
Ethel G
James G

You've probably found this info by now, but according to my records I show Howard O. Fritts as the son of John P. Fritts b. 1 Oct 1803, and Rebecca Chamblin b. 14 March 1812. His brother Charles Ezekiel Fritts is my gggrandfather. I have his siblings names as well if you still need them.

Quick Question....the photo you have of Margaret, is this the Margaret who married Matthias Apgar? This is Margaret who is the daughter of Rachel Fritts and William Beam, correct? I am researching the descendants of Ernest and Ethel. According to the little I have found out on the web, Ernest was born Oct. 1870 in Iowa. He married Ethel 1893. Ethel was born Sept 1874 (prob. in Minnesota). Ethel''s parents were Frederick and Marion Melvina (nee Little) Thorne.

Ernest and Ethel had 4 children (Arden Lea, Gale H., Bernal V. and Elvia M.). Arden and Elvia were born in Kansas (1907 and 1909) and Gale and Bernal were born in Minnesota (1895 and 1898).

Does this match any Fritts line that someone might have researched?

I'm trying to locate family of my Aunt Charolette. I remember her name from when I was a child. But nothing since adult.

I'm trying to do our family tree. Hoping her family has some family info. I do not even know who her husband was...Mr Parker.

Her sister was Viola.

Their mother, Lycie, died in SanBernardino in 1973. Charolette Parker singed the death certificate...so she may of lived in CA at that time. I know Viola lived in CA.

I am having problems with William FRITTS and who he married He died in Lake City Tn He connects to the Harmons And his wifes name was Tennie Mowery He may have been marrried more than once My aunt said we are all related to the Fritts buried in Island Ford Cemetery in Lake City I am am sure we are but I cant make the connection A Fritts also married a COX I think It would be in or around the line of Mary Magadaline Fritts who married Jacks Phillips. It is so VERY confusing I cannot find William in the census records

The Tacketts that were in Lake City Tn are also related to us twice. Boss Tackett and Alfred Tackett they are the sons of Michael (Mike) and Vina '

There was also a third wife of Jonathan Beachum Isabell He is the son of William B. Isabell Is there any one out there who might know who that would be. She would be in between Martha Alred and Lida Wright Jonathan and Lida both died in Lake City Tn

Lucy's maiden name has been a mystery for some time.

I believe the book "The Fritts (Fritz) Family Heritage Vol. 2" is in the Comanche public library. This was compiled by Greg and Patti Fritts 1n 1999. It's a thorough study of the descendents of Wooldrich Fritz who came to this country in 1738.

Henry's parents were John Fritts b. 1762 and Mary Beaver.

Henry Fritts b. about 1794 in N.C. married Lucy --- about 1814 ,probably Lee Co., Va. Lucy was b. between 1794 and 1800. Lucy died between 1834 and 1837 in Indiana. Henry died sometime after 1880 in Madison Co., Ark. where he was living with his son Allen Fritts.

I am descended from C.S. Fritts also. C.S. had James Wesley Fritts b. 1852. John C. Fritts was born 1879. Alton Fritts b. 1917. Scotty Fritts b. 1953

I recently visited the Zion Hill Cemetery in Comanche Co., TX where Claiborne S. & Sarah (Lawson) Fritts are buried and took a picture of C.S.'s footmarker showing his involvement in the Civil War.

Found out through "Ancestry Message Board" that they may be descendants of Wooldrich Fritz - came to this country in 1738.

Hans Ulrich Fritz (approx. 30 yrs.old) and son Wooldrich (Frederick) Fritz (approx. 6 yrs. old)was on the Captain's list. Arrived at Phildelphia, PA on the ship "Elizabeth"Along with 68 other passengers for a total of 70: 43 m3n, 21 women, and 6 children. This ship Elizabeth was commanded by George Hodgson from Rotterdam, Holland, last from Cowes, England, starting the voyage with 95 passengers. Due to the many hardships it has been determined that one-fourth of those leaving Europe never arrived in America.
At what date the ship Elizabeth arrived in Philadelphia is not know. Before a ship was allowed to anchor in the harbor, It was necessary for a Dr. to examine all passengers for any possible contagious diseases. If any were found, the ship ship then had to anchor one mile from land until such time as a clean bill of health was given. We do not know that all men over the age of 16, including Hans Ulrich, were taken in procession to the courthouse in Philadelphia on October 30, 1738, from the ship Elizabeth, where they took and Subscribed to the Oath of Allegiance to the British Crown.

I believe there was a Maude that was my dad's aunt in Marion Ky. You can check with a Greg Fritts at gfritts@netchief.com if I am right they have done lots of research on the Fritts family and even have a book out. Good Luck
