Hi Tina,

I don't think the John Peter Fritz in your message is the father of Christian Wilhelm/William Fritz (b: abt 1744). Here is the text of a message I posted some time ago:

Who are the parents of Christian William Fritz (b: Abt. 1744, d: 8 Jun 1797) who is buried in the Fritz Lutheran Cemetery, Brothersvalley Twp, Somerset Co, PA? I've seen his parents listed as John Peter Fritz, Sr (b: 2 Feb 1704, d: Feb 1772) and Barbara Meyer (b: 1710, d: 12 May 1799). However, I don't believe this to be correct. According to "A Genealogical and Personal History of Bucks County, Pennsylvania" by William W. H. Davis, the Christian Fretz (Fritz) born to John and Barbara (Meyer) Fritz was "born in Bucks county, 1734, died there May 1, 1803." Any leads as to Christian William Fritz's parents will be greatly appreciated.

Hal
